If you are looking for a way to add pizzazz to your scrapbooking page layouts,   why not try trimming some or even all of your photos with these fancy-edged scissors.    These special scissors are very inexpensive but can add a personal decorative touch to your scrapbook pages.    These also add a new dimension to your handmade greeting cards.

You can find these in such a vast assortment of fancy cuts that you will more than likely be tempted to buy several pairs.    The neat part is that you won’t break the bank if you do.

(If you have an old pair of pinking shears that you no longer use for fabric,   you can also achieve a beautiful edging for your papers with those.)

Making a scrapbook is, in essence, recording history of your life and that of your family and friends. It is an account of special occasions and events in your life that you want to remember. You are telling a story with photos, journaling, and embellishments.

It is important, then, to plan your scrapbooking page layouts so that you can properly convey these events to others who may browse through your album.

To find ideas for your pages, try searching the internet. See how others have laid out their pages. Often you can find free layout ideas, which will inspire your own imagination and creativity.

People have been scrapbooking for years, but in recent times the hobby has really become popular. With all the supplies and embellishments available, it so much more fun to create and look at a well-designed scrapbook than to just view photos in an album.

For those who may have trouble coming up with scrapbooking page layouts, there are numerous websites just full of scrapbook ideas and suggestions. A large variety of templates can be viewed and downloaded. Scrapbook paper is available in a vast array of colors, designs, shapes, texture, and themes.

One of the main things to remember when designing your layout is that you are telling a story of an event to someone who probably was not present. Your pages should bring the occasion to life and make the viewer feel a part of it.

Some scrapbookers prefer to create an album by completing one page at a time. Then there are others who work on two corresponding pages at a time. Then again, there are others who use both methods of scrapbooking page layouts, depending on the size of the project. Regardless of the method you choose, you will encounter advantages and disadvantages of one over the other.

One-page layouts seem to work well for busy scrapbookers as one page can be completed more quickly than two. Two-page layouts, however, may create a more spacious album.

You may not choose to use one method exclusively. Just be sure, when using two one-page layouts next to each other, that the two pages coordinate and ‘flow’ from one to the other.
